In the morning around 5:00 you will be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada. The drive to Luxor takes almost 4 hours. In Luxor you will meet your German-speaking guide, who will first accompany you to the Valley of the Kings , where you can visit 3 tombs, then you will visit the terrace temple of Hatshepsut and from there you will continue to Memnon statues . After the excursion from Thebes West, you will have lunch in an oriental restaurant. Afterwards an optional boat trip on the Nile to the banana island. With a motorboat you cross the Nile to visit the Karank Temple on the east side. After Karnak Temple it goes back to Hurghada.

2The valley of the kings

The Valley of the Kings is located in Thebes West on the west bank of the Nile, across from the Karnak Temple, and dates from the time of the New Kingdom (1500 BC).
All kings of the 18th, 19th and 20th dynasties were buried here. The burial here had lasted 500 years. Most famous in the Valley of the Kings is the tomb of Tutankhamun, which was discovered by the Howard Charter in 1922, in which more than 3000 pieces of gold and funerary objects were discovered, all of which are now in the Egyptian Museum. The valley consists of 64 tombs, which depict the journey of the deceased pharaohs after death, the colors are still very well preserved today and were obtained by nature at that time.

3The terrace temple of Hatshepsut

The temple of H atschepsut was planned and built by the ingenious architect Senmut. The temple lies behind the Valley of the Kings on an axis with the Karnak Temple in the east and its long tomb in the Valley of the Kings. The view from the third terrace on top of Theben West is particularly beautiful.

4The Memnon statues

The two huge statues of Memnon are from Amenhotep III. and were named after Aga Memnon in Greek times.

5The Karnak Temple

The Karnak is a large city of temples with a building history over 2000 years old, the best preserved is the Amon Temple with the largest hall of columns in the world, which consists of 134 columns.
