2The valley of the kings

The Valley of the Kings is located in Thebes West on the west bank of the Nile, across from the Karnak Temple, and dates from the time of the New Kingdom (1500 BC).
All kings of the 18th, 19th and 20th dynasties were buried here. The burial here had lasted 500 years. Most famous in the Valley of the Kings is the tomb of Tutankhamun, which was discovered by the Howard Charter in 1922, in which more than 3000 pieces of gold and funerary objects were discovered, all of which are now in the Egyptian Museum. The valley consists of 64 tombs, which depict the journey of the deceased pharaohs after death, the colors are still very well preserved today and were obtained by nature at that time.

3The terrace temple of Hatshepsut

The temple of H atschepsut was planned and built by the ingenious architect Senmut. The temple lies behind the Valley of the Kings on an axis with the Karnak Temple in the east and its long tomb in the Valley of the Kings. The view from the third terrace on top of Theben West is particularly beautiful.
